I have Craftsman garage door opener with a model 53681 opener. How to work BOTH remotes? Only 1 works at a time.

I have a Craftsman Garage door opener with two Remote Controls model 53681. I can only get one to work at a time and am trying to get either remote to be able to open the same garage door.

If both remotes have blue buttons and are model 53681, one of them is bad. They should program in to the opener at the same time and open the door.

A remote with gray buttons won't program with a blue button remotes.

Buy a new remote and program it with both of your current remotes. The one it won't program with is bad.

I am sending you an image with the instructions for programing the remotes and also erasing all the codes from the logic board of the opener.

If your opener is new, you probably have to program it to recognize the remote. If it is a newer model, there will be a button on the opener that needs to pushed and then the non-working remote has to be activated. Opener lights should flash to indicate programming is complete. Check your manual.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
