I installed a garage door opener. I cannot get the old keypad to work according to the manual. Is the keypad to old to work with the new opener?
The new garage door opener is model 139.53920DM. The keypad is model 139.53876. I followed the instructions in the manual, it won't program to the new garage door opener.

Your original garage door opener and the keypad you have now communicated on a 396 mhz channel. Your new garage door opener communicates on a 315 mhz channel. The keyless entry you have can not communicate with your new garage door opener. You need to buy a 139.53754 keyless entry to work with your new opener.
