My garage door opener only goes up about 1 foot and the light on the back of the panel keeps blinking. What's wrong?
My Craftsman model 13953973srt it will not go up. It only goes 1 to 2 feet and stops and when you press the garage door opener again it goes down.

I need you to check some things and send another email. Pull the emergency release on the trolley of the garage door opener. Open and close the garage door several times and see if it gets hard to move where it is stopping.
Count the flashes on the led on the motor unit. If it is flashing and pausing it is a code. I am sending you the flash codes for the opener. When you press down, does it go down? Was some work just done on the opener?If you will answer these questions we will be able to give you an idea what is causing the problem. The flash codes might solve the problem for you.
