My 919155730 air compressor keeps braking the piston rod. I have went through 2 of them in 1 year. What's up?

It is a Craftsman 3.5 hp air compressor. I only use the compressor about 10 times a year.

The most common reason for a second failure of the piston rod is not being torqued correctly when the parts are installed.

The most important thing is the nut that holds the eccentric on to the motor shaft.

I am sending you an image with the different torque specs for your compressor.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
