The sensors have steady green lights showing and there is no clicking indicating interference with the sensor beams. The door opens one quarter of the way and stops.
I suspect the door might be binding, causing the garage door opener to stop. Close the door so it won't slam shut if there is something wrong with a spring. Pull the emergency release rope on the trolley and open and close the door several times to check for resistance.If the door operates normally, adjust the up force stronger about 1/2 an inch and try to open the door. Don't adjust the up force any more than you have to. Make adjustments in small increments until the garage door will open.
