I replaced a 15 year old Sears garage door opener with a new Sears garage door opener model 139.53920DM. The new model only came with one remote opener. I would like to use my old remote instead of buying a new one. I followed the manual. I reprogrammed the old remote and the old remote will not work. Please let me know how I can get the old remote to work with the new garage door opener. Thanks!
I am sorry to tell you that the old remote will not work with your new opener.
All of Sears garage door openers have operated on 396 mhz for many years. Last year Sears started selling some garage door openers that operate on 315 mhz. Your new opener is a 315 mhz model. The old remotes can not communicate with your new opener.Member
