I just bought the Craftsman garage door opener model 139.53930DM and installed it per the owner's manual. Why won't the door close completely?
Adjustment step 1 says, If the door does not close completely, increase the down travel. I maxed out the down travel with 10 full turns, and it only goes down about 1/3rd of the way.

I recommend you schedule service and get a technician to repair the garage door opener. It sounds like the up and down limit switch is not calibrated with the position of the trolley.
