When I try to close the garage door with the remote the only thing that happens is the lights blink.
If you can close the door by holding the button on the wall control in, the problem is in the door safety sensor circuit.
If a led on either sensor is blinking, the sensors are not aligned. If only one led is on, the sensors are bad. If neither led is on, the problem can be in the logic board in the motor unit, the sensors, or the wiring to the sensors.Check the voltage at both sensors, it should be 4-5 volts dc. If you have the voltage the sensors are bad.If you don't have the 4-5 volts dc, remove the sensor wires from the logic board and check the voltage across terminals 2 and 3 on the logic board. If you have no voltage, the logic board is bad. If you have 4-5 volts dc across terminals 2 and 3 on the logic board the wires to the sensors are broken or shorted together. The short is usually at a staple that is too tight.Member
