If it is not rolling code, where is the multi position switch located that determines communication between remote and garage door opener?
The garage door remotes are transmitters, the logic board in the motor unit is a receiver. The transmitters broadcast a code on 396 mhz and the receiver recognizes the code and either opens or closes the door. There is no switch involved in the operation of the garage door opener.
Your garage door opener is not a rolling code model. The rolling code openers change the code after one use. Your opener is part of the billion code generation. The logic board has 1 billion codes in its memory. It changes the code each time you reprogram a remote.Member
