I have a garage door opener, Craftsman 139.53641srt. I need to know if it is a rolling code type. Can you help?

If it is not rolling code, where is the multi position switch located that determines communication between remote and garage door opener?

The garage door remotes are transmitters, the logic board in the motor unit is a receiver. The transmitters broadcast a code on 396 mhz and the receiver recognizes the code and either opens or closes the door. There is no switch involved in the operation of the garage door opener.

Your garage door opener is not a rolling code model. The rolling code openers change the code after one use.

Your opener is part of the billion code generation. The logic board has 1 billion codes in its memory. It changes the code each time you reprogram a remote.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
