It is a 315 MHz garage door opener model number 139.53992D. The book only goes to 6 flashes but it is flashing 10 times and the light will not turn off. You hit the light button on the remote and it turns off for 30 seconds and then the light turns back on.
When the work light flashes 10 times there is a problem with the door safety sensors. There might be a problem in the logic board causing it also.
Be sure the leds on the sensors are burning steady. If one is blinking they are out of alignment. If the led's are not on you need to check the voltage to the sensors. It should be 4-5 volts dc. If you have no voltage visually inspect the wiring between the sensors and the motor unit. Check the voltage between terminals 2 and 3 on the logic board of the opener. It should be 4-5 volts dc. If there is no voltage there the logic board is bad.The flashing light codes in the manual are done by the led on the logic board in the motor unit of the opener.I have a similar problem with the lights flashing 10 times. The unit will not program the limits as per the instructions. The yellow LED indicates limit and force programability. The safety sensors are both steady- green and yellow. The wall unit is "charging" and indicates ambient temperature. Any ideas '
