My Craftsman 1/3 HP (model: 139.53335srt1) opener will not close
The opener just clicks unless I hold the button down the entire time. I do not have garage door sensors.

The garage door opener will not work without the door safety sensors connected. This is a safety feature built into the electronics of the logic board.
You need to install door safety sensors and wire them into terminals 2 and 3 of the logic board.Join this conversation.
