What would cause the garage door to open at random?
The model number of the garage door opener is 13953962SRT1/13953966SRT1. I reprogrammed a new code and now the door opens alone partway and sometimes all the way without using the opener.

Program another new code into the opener. Someone in the neighborhood must have a code very close to yours.
Sometimes radio frequency (rf) signal will confuse the logic board and it will just activate. Be sure you don't have an old or lost remote in a drawer or behind a couch cushion that is causing the problem. If you have any remotes that are not being used, remove the batteries from them.Join this conversation.
