I need a new garage door opener (motor unit only) with mounting compatible to model 139.53513. Can you help?
I have an older model Sears Craftsman opener that works fine. I'd like to add a keyless entry pad but none are available that are compatible with this older model opener. So, rather than replace the whole opener assembly, I'd like to try replacing the motor/receiver unit only. Any suggestions?

I am afraid you will have to replace the complete garage door opener. The new motor units won't work with your rail.
You can buy a keyless entry conversion kit that will operate your current garage door opener. It comes with a new wall control unit that the signal from the keyless will key and cause the door to open or close. The part number for the conversion kit is 53682 and the keyless entry is 53684.Join this conversation.
