When I reprogram one of my openers, the other one will not work. The batteries are good. What am I doing wrong?
I have a Craftsman Garage system (model 139.53970SRT). Both openers worked originally. Now one will not. When I reprogram it, it will work, but then the other opener will not work. Both have new batteries.

If you have replaced one remote it is the wrong remote. Your remotes should have blue buttons on them. If one has gray buttons they won't work together.
The correct part number for your remotes is 53879. Check the numbers on the remotes and you will probably find one is different.If the remotes are identical, one of them is bad. Buy a new remote and program it to the opener, the original remote that will work with it is the good one.Join this conversation.
