Patio

Thank you for the answer on my patio. the patio is on a 4" cement base and then a layer of sand. Would the moisture still be coming from the bottom. and only some of the bricks have this white dusting on them. I tried brushing the bricks but it doesn't seem to come off. What if I used some acid wash to remove it?

The moisture could be coming up from the concrete - when it rains, water will drip into and around the bricks. Some will pool on concrete below, and will absorb into the concrete. I would be hesitant to use an acid wash for fear of deteriorating the surface of the brick itself. You can try rinsing / spraying the bricks to see if that helps dissolve and wash off the staining. If that doesn't work, consult with the brick manufacturer before using any harsh chemical cleaners.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
