what kind of screws do I use to secure the bottom stringers to the concrete slab?

I need to secure the bottom of my stringers of my stairwell to a small concrete slab to stop it from gradual sliding. What type and dimension of screws should I use?

You could use anchor bolts or a masonry screw (i.e. "tapcon" type fastener). There won't be much load on these fasteners - all they are doing are stopping the bottom of the steps from moving. Ensure the fastener is designed for outdoor use. Size of fastener depends on how many you use - 2 to 4 fasteners should do what you need. 3/8" anchors or 1/4" tapcons should be appropriate. You'll need to pre-drill holes in the concrete.
