How long should I wait to weed and feed a newly seeded lawn?

Wait until the lawn is established -- next spring or fall is fine.

I suggest you use an organic weed and feed, such as corn gluten meal, to minimize the risk of burning the lawn. Corn gluten meal is dervived from corn, so it's completely safe for pets, etc. It works like any other weed and feed -- apply in spring when the forsythia or crocuses bloom to control crabgrass and dozens of other weeds before they germinate. It does not control established weeds.

In the meantime, if you see weeds cropping up, just tug or dig them out.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
