Without knowing the brand and model number of your opener it is difficult to be sure of the programming procedures.
For most newer-style Craftsman openers the information in the images below should work. There may also be a sticker on the overhead opener or under the cover of the keyless entry keypad that can help. If you find the model number off your overhead opener you may also be able to use it to find your Owner's Manual for programming information specific to your model. For most Craftsman openers the model number will be the one beginning in a 139 prefix. If your opener is not a Craftsman model you might find useful information on programming at the Genie or Chamberlain websites.Often remotes and keyless entries are reluctant to program properly if they have low batteries, so if you are having issues they may need replacing.Or, the memory on your opener might be full and need resetting/erasing. Be aware that on most models resetting or erasing the memory will require all your remotes and any keyless entry to be programmed back in again.Member
