How do I reset the passcode on a garage door opener if I do not know what the old passcode was
Model # 139.53978SRT Model # 139.53684 (Keyless Entry) Keypad Cover # 31D431 I recently purchased a home that came with a garage door opener. We cannot reach the lady who owned the house prior through our real estate agent. Thank you.

You can reset a new password just like you would the initial one. You don’t need to know the code to enter programming mode and once reprogrammed the old code will be erased.

The programming instructions are in your Owner's Manual and may also be on the unit itself.

Or you can use the information below to program the Keyless. Take care not to hold down the SRT Button too long or you may erase all memory and then have to re-program your remotes as well.

If you can not get a component to program then either the keyless or one of the remotes has a low battery or is failing. Again, the information below should help.
