Is a rail extension still available for my Garage Door Opener? Will it come with the extra chain needed?
I've got a Craftsman 139.53960SRT that I am moving to an 8' door. The 8 foot rail extension accessory listed in the manual is numbered 53724. The only rail extension listed to buy online is numbered 53728. Will this (53728) work? And does it come with a chain extension? Thanks for any help!!

The 53724 extension is available online through Sears PartsDirect as shown in the image below.
As you can see in the image this part has been substituted, which may be where the confusion came from, but it is an authorized substitution and will work. It should come with extra chain and any other extra items needed to make the longer rail work.
