How do I seed bare spots in a lawn?
Can I grow seed beds and when the seedlings come, can I plant the individual seedlings in bare spots of the lawn?

I supposed you could, but I've never heard of anyone using this technique before.

It makes far more sense to start the seed directly where it's going to grow permanently. That's because when you transplant anything, it stresses it. That makes it stop growing for a while in order to reestablish its root system, and there's always the risk of killing it.

But you may have your reasons for wanting to transplant it. If so, just be sure to keep the transplant well watered for at least a couple of week.
