Bought a house and changed code for keyless entry (outside garage). Now car controls don't work?

It sounds like you may have held down the Learn button for too long and accidentally reset the open memory. When the memory is reset it erases all the previous codes, including any remotes.

If that happened the fix is simply to reprogram all the remotes in.

If the remotes will not program properly your keyless or one of the remotes might have a bad battery that needs replacing.

Any further problems, even with all batteries in good shape, might indicate a failing or incompatible remote or keyless entry. See info below for more.

If the car remotes you are dealing with are built in models rather than hand held remotes then you may need to contact your car manufacturer or HomeLink for more information. Any remote transmitter built into your car would have not have been designed or built by Sears and we therefore will not have any information available on replacing or programming them.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
