How soon after applying Moss Out can I plant grass seed?
I live in Portland Oregon. In a partly shady area of our lawn, I laid down a healthy dose of Moss Out in February, thatched up 95% of the moss a week later, laid down a shade mix of high quality grass seed and spread a 1/4" of Scotts grass seed mulch/soil over the seed. It has rained a lot, so the area had remained damp the whole time. Thus far, only a few seedlings have poked through and the moss is now growing faster than the new seed. Can I spread more Moss Out to retard the moss growth without damaging the grass seed? We've had a cold spring thus far, but shouldn't I have seen more grass seed sprout by now? I put down a pretty healthy cover of the seed, too. Moss has always been a problem in this area of our yard. Starting early this year, I thought I had a good chance of keeping it under control, but I sense I'm loosing the battle already. Help! Thanks, Jack Arendt

Moss Out doesn't contain anything that should harm grass seed.
Moss usually thrives in shady areas and grass will always struggle in shade. It needs at least 6 to 8 hours of full, direct, unfiltered sun a day.You might want to rethink grass in that part of the yard and instead plant a shade-loving ground cover or create a garden of shade-loving plants.Join this conversation.
