I have a Craftsman garage door opener that will only program one remote? How do I program 2 remotes?

Since the opener worked fine with the same remote and keypad in the past then you probably have a failed battery in one or a failing remote or keypad.

Confirm you have a strong battery in each as that is the most common problem. Once all the batteries are good erase, or reset, the memory on the opener and reprogram all the remotes and keypad. You can erase or rest the memory using the information in the Sources link below or in your manual.

If the opener will still accept only one then either the remote or keypad has failed. You will need to find out which one is bad. That can be difficult as a failing transmitter might still program but will then make it hard for the system to program other transmitters in, so the one that is bad might still program and work the door.
