1/2 HP Craftsman model 41A4315-7D. Manuf. in 2002. Wall units not working, but wireless remotes work. Orange light blinks 3 times every 5 seconds.
The model number you provided looks like it might be a part number instead. The model should be on the overhead opener itself and will start with a “139” prefix.
But basically all openers work in a similar way. The remotes or any Keyless Entry transmit a coded signal that the opener needs to receive and decode to open your door while the wall unit is wired directly to the opener to make an electrical connection rather than sending a signal. Three flashes on the overhead opener LED light is the fault code for a shorted wall control wire. (see link below for more)So there is a problem with the wire connection between your wall switch and the opener or possible the wall switch itself failed. Check for a broken or kinked wire or a disconnected end at the opener or on the back of your wall control. If nothing is evident try using a different set of wires and connect the opener and control. If different wires still make no difference you will likely need to replace the wall control itself. You can use the assembly and installation information in your owner’s manual if you need for hooking-up the wiring. If your Keyless Entry is not working either and the flashing lights are on it instead of the overhead opener then the Keyless may need a new battery or have another problem. A problem with the Keyless is not likely to be related to one with the wall control however, since, again, the wall control does not work through any signal like the Keyless but is wired in directly.- To view the Owner's Manual online -Go to the Home page of Manage My Home and hold your mouse over the square labeled HOME in the upper left of the page. A drop-down menu will appear, choose the option Products and manuals and then enter the model information and follow the steps.Member
