The garage door opener is a Craftsman. I got the remotes to work but the car openers won't work.
The memory on your opener might be full and not able to accept any more codes. On most models you can erase the memory, though that does usually require reprogramming all you remotes and any keyless entry again. Your owner’s manual should have more details.
If that does not help then it could be something related to the transmitter in your car. Unfortunately we can’t offer much help there as that transmitter would have been designed and built by the manufacturer of your car, and not by Sears, so you may need to contact them at that stage. If you do contact them, be sure to verify their programming procedure and if the transmitter is even compatible with the opener model you have. Some openers recently changed the frequency range they use at the request of Homeland Security, so that certain frequencies could be dedicated strictly to military and defense, so it is possible your opener operates in a different mega-hertz range than the transmitter in your car. If so, it will not be able to communicate and would need to be updated or changed.Again, the transmitter in your car is not produced by Sears so we cannot say what needs to be done in that case, but your automaker should be aware of the aware of the frequency changes, so if you provide them with the model number and information from your opener they might have updates or options to help.Member
