I need to reset my Sears Keyless entry but do not have the passcode. How do I program a new passcode?

The Sears opener works well. The Keyless remote is model # 139.53684. I bought this home and the original owner did not provide the passcode.

To change your Keyless Entry PIN code do the following:

1. Press and release the "SRT" Learn Button on your Garage Door Motor unit. (Don’t hold it too long or it will erase all memory and your remotes will need reprogramming).

The Learn Indicator light will come on.

2. Within 30 Seconds, enter your new four-digit PIN code then press and hold the ENTER button.

3. Release the button once the Garage Door Light flashes. If you have no bulb in the unit then listen for two clicks.

The code should be changed. Test by entering your new code and hitting ENTER, if the code is good the door will move.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
