How do I replace the belt on my yard vacuum?

I have a Craftsman self-propelled Yard Vacuum Model #247770990 of which the drive belt broke. There is nothing in my owners manual even mentioning replacement of this belt. It appears the whole engine may have to be unbolted from the deck to replace it. Does anyone have experience with this situation or have a simpler solution?

To replace the belt on your yard vacuum you have to drain the oil and gasoline. Tilt the vacuum over and remove the housing underneath the deck. Remove the impeller and then you can access the belt.

You will need a puller to get the impeller off. I would recommend taking it to a shop to have the belt replaced.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
