Why is my garage attic insulation turning black?
We have a 20 X 24 garage with 10 foot walls, and a tin roof. We insulated the ceiling according to code and put the plastic up. The insulation is turning black -- any reason for this?

I suspect that your problem is a lack of adequate ventilation, but I am guessing without very much knowledge, as your inventory is not complete. Most detached (again an assumption)garages, unless they are heated, do not have insulated attic areas (unless there is living areas above).
