We recently bought a geodesic dome house with in-floor radiant heat which uses a boiler to heat water by electricity. The boiler makes a continuous low humming noise and every 5 to 10 minutes it makes a metallic loud clicking noise. Is this normal or should we have it inspected?
Theheating elements are controlled by relays and sequencers. We suspect that this is the source of the metallic loud clicking noise. The continuous low humming noise is common with larger electrical equipment. Nonetheless, we think it prudent to have it inspected.
