Where should I place construction heaters in my garage?

I have 2 construction heaters (4800 watt) to heat an attached garage (26Wx36L double door). Where should I place them to heat the garage especially the floor, to keep it warm?

I assume that the heaters you are referring to are 240 V and draw approximately 20 amps. Therefore, the heaters will each require dedicated circuits.

Ideally, to heat the floor, the heaters would be placed on the floor however this is not acceptable from a safety point of view. The heaters are best wall mounted or hung from the ceiling, in such a way that the airflow into, and out of the heaters is not obstructed. Labels on the heaters should indicate the required clearances from combustible surfaces. Obviously, the heaters must be arranged in such a way that they are not blowing excessively warm air onto surfaces that could be damaged. Storage of fuel or other combustible materials in the garage should be avoided.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
