Is there a sensor or board in the garage door opener that might cause the remotes and keyless entry to stop wo

My remotes stopped working. The batteries are new. The keypad is not working either. Is there a sensor or board in the main unit that might be causing this problem? Chamberlain Liftmaster 3220 1/2 HP. The pad still opens the door but none of the remotes work.

As with a Craftsman opener, the Liftmaster uses a main Logic Board in the overhead unit that receives the signals and triggers opening of the door.

However, if your opener still operates normally from the wall control you might want to double-check that there is no inference or programming issue going. The wall control is wired directly to the Logic Board while the remote and keyless entry use radio signals but the same board processes both and opens the door so the issue might be in the reception of the signal and not the board itself. That could be damage to the antenna wire or interference to the signals or possibly the memory on the logic board is full and just needs to be reset and then reprogrammed to your remotes.

There is more information in the links below that might help, the information relates to Craftsman openers but many of the same principles will apply to your opener as well. You should be able to get more information specific to your exact model on the Chamberlain website.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
