How do you reset the password on a 53754 Keyless Entry Pad when you don't know the original password?

We just bought a house and it came with a fairly new garage door opener plus a keyless entry pad. Since we don't know the original password we can't get the keyless pad to work. So do you know how to reset the pad to the factory settings?

There is no actual factory or default code for that keyless entry, you just need to reprogram it with your own password, or Personal Identification Number (PIN). You can do that using the overhead SRT button per the manual instructions or the instructions in the link below.

If a new PIN will not program then the opener memory may be full. In that case, erase the memory on the opener and reprogram the remotes and then the new PIN code for the keyless entry.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
