Craftsman garage door opener, rear of unit, indicator light is constantly flashing, unit works fine but I'm concerned about this.
Depending on which model you have this might just be an indicator of some signal being picked up that is close to the same frequency of your remotes or it might be a fault code that has been triggered.
In either case, if the opener is operating normally it is not likely a cause for any concern. If it is a similar signal it is not triggering the door so it is not a problem and if you are seeing a fault code it is most likely a false reading since normal operation would be interrupted by any fault of one of the critical systems.
You can try resetting the LED by unplugging the overhead opener for a couple of minutes. If the LED flashing reoccurs then there is still some similar signal around or, if the flashes are in a set pattern, it might indicate one of the faults in the link below, but, again, if there were a real problem you would likely find the opener would not operate normally.
