What is the temporary code I need to install a keyless entry?

I have a multi function garage door opener and want to add a keyless control but do not have the temporary code for the keyless. The FCC id is HBW1216. Rev A model 139.18795.

The number you provided is for the keyless entry only. It is a Craftsman/Chamberlain part though, and I am not familiar with any of those recent models that require a temporary code to add a keyless entry. The temporary code is typically used for visitors or other situations where someone needs in temporarily but you do not want them to have your regular pass code.

Unfortunately, this keyless is used with multiple Opener models, and your Manage My Home profile did not have any additional model information, so it will be difficult to provide exact programming help. Most recent Craftsman models are similar though, so the links below should help. There may also be programming instructions on the overhead Opener itself.

The instructions will be in the Owner's Manual. Use the model number off the overhead Opener itself to update your profile and you can view the manual online at Manage My Home. On the home page, hold your mouse over the square labeled "HOME" in the upper left of the page and choose the option "Find product manuals" from the drop-down menu that appears. (If you already logged in, go to the red tabs on the upper right of the page and click the Magnifying Glass icon instead.)

Then enter as much information as possible in the search options. If nothing is found, check your product information for errors such as misspellings and be sure you have used only numbers and letters in the model number (no spaces, periods, etc.). The product might also be under another one of the "Category" listings.

If the manual can’t be found there, please call the Manage My Home Member Services Team. They will be more than happy to help you track down the manual and your call will alert them that the model is not pulling up online. The team can be reached at 1-800-803-6775, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Central Time.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
