Why do my old remotes not operate my new Craftsman model 139.53920D garage door opener?
I installed a new 1/2 hp. model 139.53920D garage door opener and I can't get my old remotes part number 139.53879 to work with it.

Your new garage door opener operates on 315 MHz. The remotes have black buttons. Your old garage door opener operated on 396 MHz. The remotes probably have blue or gray buttons. They cannot communicate with each other. If you buy extra remotes for your new opener be sure they have black buttons.
