Why does my electronic tripping sensor no longer turn on my garage light?
I have a Sears 1/2 Hp Residential Door Opener, Model number 139-53976SRT, my garage light no longer tuns on when tripped. This problem occurred once before and I was walked through a procedure at the control panel that resets that function.

It sounds like you might have the light feature turned off. There are instructions on pages 32 and 33 of the owners manual for changing the light features. If you do not have your manual use the information in the link below to pull it up online.
