How to reprogram the Keyless Entry System?

The keypad had been reprogrammed and since forgotten. I just needed to know how to reset the code on the outside keypad I have a Craftsman model 139.53675SRT1.

To Program your Keyless Entry System

  1. Press the SRT (learn button) button on the back panel of the opener and release it.
  2. Enter the 4-digit code you want to use.
  3. Press ENTER.
  4. The overhead work light(s) will flash one time, which means the code has been accepted.

This procedure works with either Billion Code or Rolling Code Technology. Also known as the original SRT programming procedure.

Keyless Entry Systems can be programmed to operate more than one garage door but each garage door opener must have a different 4-digit code programmed.
