Answer itHow can I get my remote controls to program with the new logic board?
I've replaced the logic board on my Craftsman garage door opener model 139.53992D. The original logic board part number was 41AS150-1. The new logic board is part # 41A5389E. I'm told by Sears Parts Direct that this is a substitute part number. When the new board is installed, the wired wall switch will open and close the door, but none of the wireless remotes (including the keyless entry pad) will work, nor will the unit accept programming. I have attempted to reprogram the unit according to the instructions in the manual (page 35), using both the "learn button" and Premium control console. Nothing works. The instructions say that the lights are supposed to blink. They do not. They only go out after a time of holding all three buttons. Is this, in fact, the correct logic board? If so, is there another method for programming this unit?

I don't like to disagree with the people at parts direct, but the 41A5389E logic board is not the correct logic board for a model 139.53992D garage door opener. You need a part number 41AS150-1 logic board. This is a good part number and runs in the Sears system with no substitution shown.
