What can I do to make the fingerprint key-less entry pad work with my garage door opener?

I am looking to purchase the fingerprint key-less entry pad #57555 and both of my garage door openers ( one - 1/2 hp and another 1/3 hp) are about 11 years old. The online description mentioned that the keypad system is compatible with black button remote controls #52752 and #53753, and with the Craftsman Universal Receiver #53757. In order to make this fingerprint keypad work, do I need to replace one of my garage door openers with one that will use black button remotes, or can I just purchase the Universal Receiver?

I would recommend that you purchase the universal receiver. It is less expensive than a new garage opener and will make the fingerprint keyless work with either of your door openers.

The universal receiver will replace your current wall control, and it is easy to install.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
