Our remote stopped working. We tried a new battery but it still will not open the garage door. How do we reset it?
With your Manage my Home profile incomplete and no actual model number in the question, I cannot be sure how to reprogram the remote you have. On most openers the model number should be on the opener itself, usually above the light or on the side.
If it is a Craftsman opener there should be programming instructions on the unit itself. If there are buttons on the back of the unit there will be instructions near them, if not then the buttons and instructions will be under a cover. If you have a keyless entry (the number-pad outside the garage), there may also be programming instructions on the inside of that keypad cover.
On almost all brands, there will be programming instructions in the owner's manual. Once you locate the model number and complete your Manage my Home profile you can view manuals online for more details.
