Where can I get a manual to help diagnose a problem with my garage door opener?

My garage door will only go down as long as I keep holding down the button. The safety "eyes" have been cleaned, wiring is in good shape, door lubricated and all clean. The information I found is Craftsman 1/2HP - 3/1995. Part number: 41A4315-6B, and on the box is: FCCID (or 1D)

I am not familiar with any reset code for a Craftsman opener. The problem you described sounds related to your safety sensors and I think you are on the right track with checking wiring and cleaning them.

Also check that the LED light on each sensor is on. One will probably be red or orange and the other green. Even if both sensors have power and are clean they may not "see" each other unless aligned accurately. Be sure they are mounted solidly and the "eyes" are aimed directly at each other. The LED should get brighter as alignment is improved, if an LED flickers or is faint then the alignment is getting worse.

Unfortunately, I could not get a model number from any of the information you provided. On most Craftsman openers the model number should be on the front near the light. If the opener has two lights it might be on the side, probably opposite the side the antenna wire comes out of.

Once you have the model number, manuals can be found at Manage My Home by clicking on "Find product manuals" in the "HOME" section of the website. If the manual can't be found there, please call the Manage My Home Member Services Team at 1-800-803-6775, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Central Time. They will be more than happy to help you track down the manual.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
