How do I program remote control model 13953778 to actuate garage opener model 13953765?
I have a new Craftsman Radio Control receiver, model 13953765. This receiver will not accept a signal from my 3-function transmitter, model 13953778. The transmitter may need to be reprogrammed. Please advise.

Before you do program 3-Function Transmitter model 13953778 (remote control) to actuate garage opener receiver model 13953765 (garage opener), you make sure all transmitters (remotes) are set to matching code switch positions as described below:
1-Select a remote control push button to operate the garage opener. Remote control has three buttons: the largest button (-), the middle one (0) and another one (+). Let's select the largest push button (-) on remote control.
2-Set garage opener (receiver code) switch #1 to match the position of the remote control, the largest push button (-) selected on remote control (need to open remote control to see the code switch positions). Then set remaining code switches in garage opener (receiver) to match the remote control (transmitter) code switch positions. Note: if garage opener (receiver) has only 7 or 9 switches, set remote control (transmitter) switch #8 and / or #9 to zero (0). To use the 3-Function Transmitter (remote control) with other model 139.53XXX receivers (garage openers): set opener (receiver) code switch #1 to match the position of another remote (transmitter) push button. Then set remaining code switches to match remote control (transmitter) code switches. Code switches #2 through #9 in all remote controls (transmitters) used to operate the garage opener (receiver) MUST be set to matching positions.
