Can you answer a garage wiring question?

I want to add a 110 volt separate circuit in my attached garage. Instead of having just the 14/2 wire tacked along the wall I want to put it neatly in a PVC conduit using stranded number 14 wire including a ground wire. It will be a 15 amp circuit with it's own breaker.

You are on the right track wanting to protect the wiring. The code requires it, for exposed wire within 5 feet of the floor. Typically, the wire used in this application is solid rather than stranded. Garage outlets should be at least 18 inches above the floor.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
