Moisture on my outdoor coil?

There is water under the heat pump outside the house. Is this normal? How do we control the moss that this will produce? In the summer, whilethe air conditioner is on, water drains through an output tube installed.

Yes it is normal. It will become frost as the temperature lowers (see below), but I have never heard of moss growth below. Heat pumps should be well off the ground. This helps keep drifting or deep snow from obstructing the heat pump.
