My garage door was activated while frozen to the ground. Now the motor runs but doesn't move the chain. Is it fixable?

It is a Sears Craftsman garage door opener, model 139.53627SRT. When I tried to open it, it was frozen to the floor, so the motor just ran for a few seconds ...
