Flooring is complete I found a great deal on laminate flooring and installed it in a few hours, with my wife's help.

Found a great deal on a Drop Ceiling, I didn't want a drop ceiling, but with all of my plumbing and duct work, there was no other choice, it did turn out pretty well. Now that I have a hearth pad made, it will be time to install the gas stove, I am so cold all of the time, I hope this will heat me up.

New heat source in a previously unheated space

The hearth pad was fun to make, I used 2x2 lumber to frame it out, then used 1/4 inch plywood and covered it in engineered flooring, which looks like stone. All in all a nice looking and functional hearth pad, and yes it is helping with the cold I feel from my neuropathy.
