      cute. =)

You’ve got to be kidding me! This was a “project”? And it actually won a prize? Please. Take me back to high school shop 101 so I can build a birdhouse. Maybe I will win something. Geez

      Nice job! Congrats!

Hey Bob, Are you a Sears employee?

hey, 1st i’d like to say congrads, i think its safe to say you’ve won… with that in mind i think a few of the voters might want to help out who they think should win 2nd place… “home for christmas” is a nice project done with alot of love. anyone who hasnt read it yet should along with the other projects

Congrats on a great story! One thing if you need help with that deck let me know I’d love to help you spend that sears card. :-)

Genag- The person you’re insulting is my younger brother. He thought he was asking a legitimate question by asking how Roberts made it to the finals with such a simple project. I explained to him that it was an inappropriate question and he deleted his post. It would be nice if you would do the same.

He’s still young enough to believe that life is fair and the best should win. He doesn’t understand that the playing field in real life is never level and that “the best” is subjective at best.

If I were to express an opinion here, it would be to say that anyone who calls people he has never met “rude, ill-mannered, and apparently socially ignorant” must have some experience with those traits himself.

Dear Roberts, Way to go! I thought it was so funny. The expressions are great! For all the negative comments, its so sad that we can’t support one another if fun. It is a contest, lets keep this in mind. Good luck to everyone you are all winners!

Jacaobnusbaum Why are you asking this man that qestion? If you really want to know why dont you call the people over this contest and ask them? I didnt make it to the top 10 and am glad since I have never seen such rude, ill-mannered, and apparently socially ignorant people in my life.

Robert—Your project is extremely simple and I think I could be capable of doing it also..but your PRESENTATION is outta this world and comes close to no other!! Good Luck and try to ignore the jealousy that is eating some posters alive.

This is funny but creative~~ I love it. But I think that we are all winners in GOD’S EYES:)

Cute story and photos. You must be a great guy to have so many people supporting you.

the poetry and pictures are great. i laughed out loud alot. i do think the project itself was just a touch too simple. in overall presentation, you definitely take the cake. good luck!

I was laughing out loud—this is great. and I might actually try building one of these. Thanks for asking me to vote! Good luck.

Hey Robert .. .congrats … this was a great entry. And for all the sore losers out there if you didn’t read the rules on voting – here you go:

For the Voting Phase: Multiple voters are not permitted to share the same email address or Account. Any attempt by any voter to submit more than the stated number of votes by using multiple/different email addresses, Accounts, identities or any other method will void that voter’s Submission(s) (if any) and votes and he/she will be disqualified from further participation in the Contest. Use of script, macro or any other automated system to vote is prohibited and all such votes will be void. Released Parties (as defined in Section 9 below) are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, garbled, delayed, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected votes, which will be void. In the event of a dispute as to any vote, the authorized account holder of the email address used to vote will be deemed to be the voter. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address.

response to xbon and other haters:

first of all, go get some counseling.

second, go to this link and watch this video of how this family “magically won a voting contest” in December, and then gave away thousands of dollars of hp computer equipment to charitable organizations: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GS6z-gZ7YEI

third, ask yourself this question: do you think it’s hard for a family like this to get hundreds of people to vote for them, who in turn ask others to vote for them? I know I am, and will continue to for the next week. and if someone else should beat them, I’ll assume that they were nice people who had a lot of friends and family too. all ten finalists are already winners, so quit whining.

If you want a good conspiracy theory, go to d.c. or new mexico. have a great day.

corsairdad, get a life and grow up. just because you don’t have any friends or talent doesn’t mean that everybody else doesn’t either. go back to the other sites that you normally frequent.

Great entry. I like how it was so creative! I’ll keep on voting daily.

Nice job!! Too bad you have to cheat to win!!

It is obvious you put a lot of thought and time into your project. What a lucky wife and children to you you around the house. Congratulations for being in the finals.

What sold me on your project were your wife’s expressions!!! This is my favorite.

did you recruit the state of CA to vote this morning?

      SO cute…. good work!

      excellent work

I love the poetry! Thanks for sharing!

This looks pretty simple, great job

      Outstanding!

Nice! I bet you could use it as a craft table for the kids in the off seasons!

Terrific project! It made me giggle. I am a wife and would of told my dear hubby the same darn thing.

this one is my favorite!!!!!!!! if only my husband could be this creative!

I love the “turn around”! Off to the deck you go, with your toys and saw!! You created a monster. Have fun!

      Great entry!! Very informative!! Glitterspyro

Very clearly and concisely done, but in an interesting and appealing manner. He needs to be one of those “Hire A Hubby” guys that helps everyone else. Fabulous entry!

      best of luck to you

      haha love it~~

      LOL! Love it!

I love the illustration of Tacky Christmasland in image 6!

Looks like you used those tools to rip up a floor board, or are you putting one in?

You look just like an elf! Very cute. Come over and build toys while I make some mac-n-cheese with my friend Paula!!!

I favorite this entry it’s worth a win and my vote!

That was too cute ! Enjoyed the whole thing, and your finish worked didn’t look tacky !

you look so cute! great photo!

      Great entry! Definately a winner.

What a hoot! Really enjoyed the photos and rhyme…you are well deserving of a top spot in this contest!

Love this entry – good poetry and good project. Hope it’s a winner!

What great work – and tacky at the holidays can be truly enjoyable. I was remembering my plastic Frosty that would get plugged in my bedroom as a kid – I miss it but so would not be allowed in my house today! Great work – loved the entry!

      I really like this entry!!!

WOW…something positive. I liked your project. I would love to see the plans for your boxes. They look like good plyometric boxes.

At last, an actual project, a Christmas project, not a HOME project, but at least, finally, a real project! I agree with the wife 100% and I’m glad you have a basement for this thing! I know the kids enjoyed it, so probably not a total waste of time & energy - at least you got to sharpen your skills for the deck - which you should document as your REAL “PROJECT” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved the poetry—it made me smile!!! And you seem to be a nice husband and father !

I loved this entry so much – you inspired me to work on my own “story set to poetry”! Thanks for sharing!

Great homage to Dr. Suess in your Holiday tale. This entry in the Holiday contest may prevent your deck project from fail.

      Excellent entry!

I loved this entry! It was presented well, in a storylike manner, poetic, and very funny. It also had a happy ending. It is my favorite.

LOL! I really enjoyed your entry. It’s my favorite to date.
