- Close drains and cover other crevices or holes where your ring could fall if it slips out of your hand.
- In a small bowl, make a solution of mild dishwashing soap and warm water, or a mixture of vinegar and warm water, or baking soda and warm water. Don't use chlorine or other harsh chemical cleaners.
- Soak your ring in the solution for 10 minutes.
- Use a gentle brush to clean debris from the ring.
- Swish the ring in the solution.
- Rinse your ring with clean water.
- Pat the ring dry with a clean, lint-free cloth, or allow it to air dry.
- Check the prongs and stone to make sure everything is in good shape and that the stone is secure. If anything is loose, take your ring to a jeweler to have it repaired.
